About Us

As a leading provider of dance classes, we take pride in offering the best training in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, pointe and hip hop. We are dedicated to providing a professional level class while maintaining a friendly and family environment.

Here is a litlle bit about our staff:


Monica Smith began her training under Mrs. Lou Arrington at the age of three and later became an assistant teaching at sixteen. Locally she preformed with the Beaumont Civic Ballet, Beaumont Community Players as well as Lamar University. She recieved scholarships to study with the prestigious Joffery Ballet in New York City for two summers. Monica also lived in Los Angeles, California where she trained under scholarship at Tremaine Dance Center and Debbie Allen's studio. She studied closely with Jonette Swider and became her assistant traveling with the Tremaine Dance Convention.

Currently, she enjoys working with local young talents both in the classroom and through her award winning choreography!


Ms. Tanya McCullor-Teacher/Choreographer

Tanya McCullor is an award-winning choreographer who has taught and choreographed all throughout Southeast Texas. She has studied east coast and west coast jazz and tap at great length and has a wide-ranging knowledge of ballet, lyrical and contemporary styles as well. She has worked extensively with master teacher/choreographer Joe Istre.

 A few of Ms. McCullor's accomplishments are preforming at the Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, the International Houston Arts Festival in Houston, Texas and dancing in Los Angeles, California after winning a scholarship from Tremaine Dance Convention and Competitions; she has also danced locally with Lamar University, Beaumont Civic Opera and Beaumont Community Players.



Ms. Kyndal Stack-Drill PrepTeacher/Choreographer

Ms. Kyndal Stack started dance at the age of 4 at Arrington Dance Studio.She danced there through her freshman year of high school where she then focused on being a member of the VHS Brigadettes. She was an officer of the Brigadettes two of the three yearson the team, and recieved Miss High Kick all three years. She performed with the Brigadettes at Disney World, Sea World, the steps of the State Capitol in Austin, and in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in NYC. She was a member of the Lamar Spirt Team for 2 years and has her Bachelor's Degree in dance from Lamar.

She now does choreography for the VHS Brigadettes for football season and Spring Review and has received awards for her choreography every year with the home routine that the officers bring to camp. Now, Ms. Kyndal will be heading up our Drill Team program here at PHDA.



Ms. Holly Steele-Twirl Teacher/Choreographer

Ms. Holly Steele will be leading up our new twirl program here at PHDA. She began her love for twirl right here in Vidor, twirling with VJH and VHS. Ms. Steele was also a part of the USTA team for the 1999-2000 and 2001-2002 seasons. Recently, she has been teaching twirling through the ACE program at Pine Forest Elem. and Vidor Middle School from 2010-2014.

We are excited here at PHDA to welcome Ms. Holly to our staff and we can't wait to see our twirl program grow!
